DISCOVER THE FIRST SECTION
You can immerse yourself in the project on our interactive map and obtain detailed information on the individual hub locations, temporary access points, landfills, and the tunnel route. The information is in German and corresponds to the publication of the Sectoral Transport Plan, Part Underground Freight Transport, which has been under consultation with the cantons and municipalities since February 2024. The traffic data relates to CST transport journeys.
The sectoral plan provides the spatial coordination of the project for the first section between Härkingen and Zurich and explains how the project is harmonised with the federal government’s spatial planning objectives. The sectoral plan was drawn up by the Federal Office of Transport (FOT) in close consultation with Cargo sous terrain and the cantons of Bern, Solothurn, Aargau and Zurich. Once the current sectoral plan consultation has been completed, CST will further refine the project on the basis of feedback from the cantons, taking into account the concerns expressed wherever possible.
